Bought warranty that said turbos covered on my car. 2 months after buying warranty they needed to be replaced.

Carchex and Royal denied claim saying not enough time had passed, that i did not drive the car enough miles for it to fail. Then after a month of calling and complaining. They agreed to after market price and their guess on how long to replace. At BMW it is a 26 hour job.

2 business days. Cost 5 grand.

I got 1400 bucks. After i paid out of pocket the 5 grand.

Review about: Carchex Car Warranty.

Reason of review: Warranty issue.

They have done the same thing to me! They are fortune tellers, they know how long it takes a part to fail, amazing. Spread the word they cheat and lie

Thank you for review. We appreciate your feedback and opportunity to respond.

According to our records, the claim you are referencing was called in on 10/6/2015 for the turbos on your 2008 BMW 535.

The claims administrator denied the repairs based on an inspection report from a 3rd party ASE certified inspector who verified the failures and stated time and vibration cause excessive wear to both Turbo's waste gates and Actuator links. The claims administrator reviewed the detailed pictures, videos, and report provided and agreed that this was a long term failure that preceded the 35 days and 1132 miles your coverage had been active for.

Despite the valid claim denial, our administrator sourced re-manufactured turbos for your repair shop to help save you money and agreed to pay for half of the parts costs as a courtesy for you. The management team at Royal Administration explained this decision to you and our CARCHEX Claims Support Manager discussed this with you as well in October of 2015.

We again heard from you in July of 2016 when you requested to cancel your coverage due to selling the vehicle. You're automatic payments were stopped and coverage was cancelled on 7/25/2016.

At the time of cancellation, you had made 13 of 24 payments in the amount of $1704.57.

With the claim reimbursement paid in the amount of $1408.14, there was no pro-rated refund due.

If there is anything further we can do to assist you with this matter, please give us a call at (877)227-2439 Ext. 6002.
