Terrible

I purchased a extended warranty on my vehicle. I have paid them faithfully for the past 18 months. My transmission goes out. They take for ever for a adjustor to come out and inspect your car. Also, when you purchase the plan its states rental car but thats only if your claim is approved. You have to send them 12 months mantience reports. A reason for them to deny your claim. If i know it would have been this difficult i would have purchased a plan from somewhere else. I dont feel like youre secure with Carchex. The customer service representative are not helpful nor care that youre out of a car. Its just a staright 9-5 job and thats it. I would purchase a warranty from them.

I've had car Chex for a couple months . figure I put some extra protection on my vehicle . as I called back asking about my policy seeing what it covers & to find out it only covered major or very few minor damages . my car is in excellent shape so I decided to take the policy off ? and its been nothing but a headache I canceled 2 months prior and they tried coming into my account after I already cancled the service they make you mail in a letter which you have to pay for to send for cancelation, than tell you to wait 45 -60 days for a refund ? to me this company sounds like a scam that wants to take your money and not give it back while offering minimul services you probably will never use . STAY AWAY !!!!!! GET EXTENDED WARRANTY THROUGH A DEALER NOT A 3RD PARTY . IVE LEARNED MY LESSON THANK GOD I FOUNT OUT A COUPLE MONTHS IN THIS WAS A SCAM

When cancelling the coverage beyond the 30 day money back guarantee, the insurer of the coverage requires a written notification from you for your intent to cancel the coverage. The written statement requires all of your customer info, your vehicle info including VIN number, and the odometer at the time of request, and your signature. Suddenly can't contact anyone to verify cancellation

Bought warranty 9 days ago, received contract, was not what I was told on the phone, called to cancel,was emailed directions, filled out form,emailed it back. The form says it has to be mailed in so called back and was told email is fine, now I can't get through to anyone via phone or email unless I call and press the option to buy a warranty. I have all conversations recorded and copy's of emails.

B.s 30 day 1000 mile warranty

I bought a vehicle that was covered by a Thousand Mile 30 day warranty shortly after approximately 300 miles in a week later I noticed a leak of oil no problem I said to myself I have a warranty and I have a $100 deductible it'll be all good so I thought now I took it to the dealer and they want $998 for the oil filter housing the adjuster came out from Royal administrators warranty and denied my claim saying it was a pre-existing ongoing situation which is a bunch of *** I would have never bought a vehicle that had a leak I looked under the car before I bought it there was no oil no trace of oil so now I've been denied and I appealed it and I was denied again I brought the car to my mechanic and he'll do the repair for $770. I've been so aggravated and frustrated and now I see that there's a lot more people like me dealing with this company which is a fraud and I'd like to know if there's anything that could be done because I also had to pay for the inspection from the dealer for $245 totally screwed

Warranty is no good!!

My truck has been in the shop for 5weeks needing a Transmission at Aamco Transmission the warranty company is making no effort to see why they have had my truck so long!The warranty company sent out a transmission which was faulty still have not heard when another one will be replace I'm really dissatisfied with CarCheck I would not recommend them to any one!!!!!

Wow these comments are not good...Maybe I will go with the dealer warranty instead of the third party...I have been burned way too many times and am so inclined to research a company before diving in.

VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS WARRANTY

The salesman that sold me my policy talked me into the Titanium policy.

Told me it covers almost everything. So I agreed and have been paying $122 a month for the past 16 months and still owe 7 more payments.

So the way I figure it is until I exceed $2,800 in warranty claims that Carchex isn't out a penny of there pocket.

Went to have my car repaired. 1st claim every turned in, total cost $700.00. I even called Carchex to have them check to see if my repairs would be covered under their warranty before taking it to the shop.

I was told yes this repair was covered under the warranty. I then booked an appointment for 7:30 in the morning to get my car repaired. By one o'clock Carchex still had not approved for the dealership to start working on my car. When I called to asked them why, the customer service person was extremely rude and told me it could take up to 24 hours before it would be approved. I could not go another day without a car, so I called the dealership back and told them just to go ahead and fix the car and I would pay for it. If Carchex finally would agree and submit the dealership payment, then the dealership could just refund me.

Dealership called and said Carchex would not pay for all repairs even after they told me it was covered. And refused to pay some of the bill because they used GM parts instead of getting their parts from Advance Auto. So out of my total bill so far, Carchex is only agreeing to pay around $300 of the $700 bill.

Therefore; lets recap here:

I have paid Carchex 16 payments so far @ $122 a month = $1,952.00.

I turn in a $700 warranty claim, that was already approved over the phone,

only to get $300 paid on my claim. Which if you think about it, that's my money anyway paying for it. Because until my warranty claims reach over $2,800 then Carchex hasn't paid a penny out of their pocket for my repairs. At this point I think this warranty company is a scam. I doubt I will continue paying on this warranty. What's the use.

Paid for 3 years bumper to bumper coverage. They initiated EVERY ONE OF MY CLAIMS with a straight up denial.

When the dealer provided proof the items should be covered, CARCHEX then changed their story to I did not provide a title to the vehicle.

When I provided a title to the vehicle, they told me the coverages I submitted were not in the contract (provided them email verification of every communication between me and the sales team of what would/would not be covered). CARCHEX reviewed email history then paid for one of the nebulous repairs.

Car has been in dealership repair facility 11 weeks now.

In your review, you mentioned title issues. There are generally (2) issues related to a vehicle's title related to Commercial use or Salvaged/Branded titles. Vehicle Service Contracts require additional surcharges for commercial vehicles. For salvaged or branded titles, we do provide coverage plans that allow for salvaged title with an added surcharge as well.

#R0200**** Don't try and give me the BS about the title. I provided a copy of the title at purchase...which during the repair/warranty claim your company said you did NOT have.

I resubmitted only to get another line of *** 1. Purchased Platinum coverage to include premium electronics additional rider. For 2004 cadillac XLR convertible. I purchased the more expensive package with electronics due to the myriad of moving parts associated with the convertible top.

The salesman GUARANTEED this would cover EVERYTHING 'bumper to bumper' as if it were a new car. LIED 2. Convertible top mechanism is tied to the electric trunk cylinders. Trunk automatically opens to let the top fold into the trunk.

Cadillac said the trunk cylinders were bad...CARCHEX of course, denied the claim stating was not part of the policy. WTF is a 'bumper to bumper' policy? The convertible top operation is tied to the trunk operation. THIS SHOULD BE COVERED.

Instead, I ordered the damn parts myself to have them installed instead of CARCHEX doing what they are supposed to do. Car has been in the shop since the first week of September (we are now stepping into December). All delays are due to CARCHEX slow balling everything after the denials. I paid good money for this policy...was told to add the electronic rider to the policy to make sure the entire car was covered.

I did.

Time for CARCHEX to live up to their end of the deal. NEARLY 3 MONTHS IN THE REPAIR SHOP!

Thank you for responding to our response. We have located your contract and will be reaching out to you later today.

According to our records, our Vehicle Protection specialist offered several levels of coverage to you including Exclusionary commonly referred to as Bumper to Bumper. However, the coverage purchased on your 2004 Cadillac XLR purchased is a platinum level Inclusionary policy. Inclusionary plans list each component that is covered under the warranty. If the part needed is not listed, it is not covered.

your contract and see you have been communicating entirely with the contract administrator during your claims. With regards to your claim, a claim was called in on 10/10/2018. The contract administrator requested your title because the last reported mileage on CARFAX showed 61,010 miles. Your repair shop was reporting 36,257 miles.

After receiving the title and discussing this with you, the administrator was able to verify with you the 61,010 report was an error on your CARFAX report for this vehicle. We appologize this delayed your claim. Once the claim was able to proceed, the contract administrators records show a claim was approved on 10/29/2018 for your valve cover gaskets and cam shaft magnets. Please note the administrator has not received the signed paperwork from your repair shop to confirm work has been completed to pay the shop for these repairs.

On 10/29/2018, your shop discussed the approval and asked about the convertible top. Your repair shop was advised to diagnose the issue and that your contract covers the convertible top motor only. The administrator spoke with your on 10/29/2018 to go over the same information and advised you the shop needed to call back with the diagnosis. The administrator had no further contact with you or the repair shop until 11/27/2018 when the shop called in the convertible top struts and cylinders which are not listed for coverage in your plan.

The repair shop was advised these are not listed for coverage. As the seller of the contract, CARCHEX does not approve or deny the claims. However, when there are any issues with the Contract Administrator we are here to help resolve and expedite any issues when we are made aware of them. As for your claims that you were lied to, our representative offered you multiple options, sent you a written quote prior to your purchase for review, and a digital copy of the purchased contract at the time of sale.

According to our records, the coverage was reviewed by you 2 times prior to purchase and you accessed the contract again on the date of purchase. A hard copy of the contract was mailed to you for review to ensure the coverage meets your needs. We have reviewed the calls and have found no instances of our representative misleading you. Thanks for your effort. However, when I spoke with the salesman, I made it crystal clear this was a 2004 Cadillac with low miles, but it has a million inter-linked operations associated with the convertible top.

At some point something could fail...and I wanted 'bumper to bumper' coverage. We discussed the 'exclusion' and 'inclusion' policy. I wanted everything 'included' in the Titanium Package...he told me the policy to buy which would include everything and even suggested an advanced electronic addition for anything else. The discussion was to INCLUDE EVERYTHING so EVERYTHING would be covered.

The dealership will provide the repair costs to you when I pick it up next week (since I had to order the convertible top parts on my own...which should be bumper to bumper coverage). Here is what I am going to do. Getting this claim has been worse than a root canal. So, I am going to fund the parts for the convertible top myself and the repair.

Once I retrieve the vehicle from the dealership and the claim for the miniscule items you covered has been paid by CARCHEX (not holding my breath), I will then use my position to get the word out about misleading and time consuming claim processes with your company. I have direct access to over 25,000 men and women in the military here on Oahu and their families. I will spread the word of CARCHEX and strongly advise them to choose another company. All this would have taken would have been a phone call from you to clarify the coverage and the repairs.

Instead, the car has been sitting in the repair shop for nearly 3 months. My ire is kindled Danny P Johnson, Colonel, USAF

I own a 08 Chevrolet 3500 HD 4 X 4, and the following is my experience with this company. 1 Twice the Service Manager from my local dealership was told I didn't have a contract. After I spent hours on the phone, was told it was a mix up when they changed their computer system. NOT ONCE, but TWICE 2 If you have a part that rust out or because this particular part is connected to a rusted part NOT COVERED 3 If you have an electrical part that goes bad, I had to fight with them to cover diagnostic cost 4 If you own a 4 wheel drive vehicle and you use the 4 wheel drive other than on the road (I'm guessing)and something breaks. NOT COVERED

I have had this Warrenty for 3-4 years, They have a never covered anything under this warranty every time I take my car to get serviced they find a way to get out of service in the car with their little gimmicks

I bought an expensive warranty for my 2010 Town and Country Van. The sales people told me my coverage would even cover parts “that were considered to have wear and tear” with them. Lies…Lies…Lies!!!
My a/c was not working and I took my car to the dealer. The dealer said it was a rear evaporator core and expansion valve. The warranty company sent out an adjuster to look at the issue and said they would not cover the part due to a clause written in the policy that said “corrosion” on a part would not be covered and both parts had corrosion.
First of all it’s a used car! All used cars will show over time corrosion due to weather. This part had to do with A/C where water circulates thru. When a part wears out you will get corrosion in that area.
That’s why I bought the policy to prevent from having big repair bills. Now I feel I have been enconvienced and scammed! Every time I have a claim for repairs I’m at the mercy of the adjuster on whether they will cover a part that is listed in the contract as claimable.
They kept my car for 9 days! 9 days I was without a car and I had to work! So rented a car thinking it would be covered and since my claim was denied I was stuck with that bill too!
It’s not right! They should be out of business!
Buyers beware! Save your money and put what you would pay for a warranty in the bank for when you do have repairs.

In the meantime, we are happy to address your concerns in this review. According to our records, a gold level vehicle service contract was purchased for your 2010 Town & Country on 7/25/2018. A claim was called in on for a rear Evaporator core and rear Expansion Valve on 8/29/2018. Based on the claim date and miles provided by your shop, 1305 miles were driven since purchase.

Your coverage included a standard 30 day and 1000 mile waiting period before any claims could be called in so your claim was 5 days and 305 miles into active coverage. On 8/29/2018, our administrator explained how the rental coverage works under your coverage and later explained it to you the same day. Our administrator advised an inspection would be needed to verify the cause of failures. Due to the Labor day weekend, the inspection report was completed on 9/4/2018.

This report verified your HVAC was leaking Freon but the vehicle needed additional diagnosis to confirm the actual cause of failure. Upon completion of the additional diagnosis on 9/5/2018, a second inspection was completed on 9/7/2018. This inspection included detailed photos of the vehicle with the evaporator core. In addition to corrosion, the pictures showed heavy road grime and buildup that would not have accumulated in the 5 days since coverage became active.

The claim was denied as a long term failure caused by corrosion. While we understand the frustration of having a denied claim, Vehicle Service Contracts do not cover repairs that are determined to be pre-existing to the purchase of the coverage. Your claim was correctly denied based on the inspection reports and cause of failures. If you would like to discuss this further, please give us a call at (877)227-2439 Ext.

Don't buy warranty from carchek

Got warranty from Carchex. Was assured that Carchek would cover all major repairs on our 2011 Malibu.

Carchek rejected all three claims for repairs and then when car Engine Blew they denied that claim as well. We paid money for top plan coverage. Would recommend that you run away from this company as quickly as possible.

Also please report this company to the better Business Bureau. We did and a so called Manager called us and said he would look into our allegations but a week has past and we have heard nothing.

Carcheck appears to really take advantage of Senior Citizens as my neighbor said they had problems with this warranty company as well

I have been paying Carchex for five months now. I have the full coverage.

3 months after I started paying my timing guild broke I need a new motor. My car has been in the shop for over 6 weeks. They are not covering anything but timing chain.

They are terrible they have not called me back once. I plan on getting a Laywer.

TERRIBLE RIP OFF

I took my car to Mercedes dealership shop on Monday the 20th. They called in some items that are CLEARLY covered in my contract. Was told in 24-48 hours an inspector would come review vehicle and recommended repairs. He did not show up until the next week on the 27th. Was told adjuster was reviewing on Tuesday the 28th. Now it is Thursday the 30th and still NO response from Royal Administration the company that Carchex has manage their contracts. The shop has relayed it is still under review. I spent over $5,000 for a worthless warranty. Part of the selling point was customer service and trip interruption coverages. Can you imagine if this had been out of town breakdown!?!

As far as spending $5000 for a "worthless" warranty, as a Mercedes owner, you should be aware that $5000 often is the cost of a single repair for any major system.

Parkplace Mercedes of Grapevine and I spent two weeks on the phone with your company. Your first adjustor quit and my file fell to another that could not have been any less helpful The ball joint was worn and causing drive vibration and I had an engine oil cooler leak that was discovered.

I've owned enough Mercedes-Benz products to know that you should have kept that $5000 in the glove box and paid for repairs instead of a useless bogus "warranty". You will normally need every cent of that $5000 and more to keep those cars up to snuff.

There people have no idea what they are doing.

I am retired firefighter. With Lincoln Tech Automotive technology knowledge one cars. I have investigated what most auto technician say if you have change one. Change the all. Distributor Over plugs. If it dumping unburned gas into your exhaust system it would go bad. Need to go to the German tech of recycling it back through before it gets to the exhaust system.

As we discussed, when the vehicle is diagnosed by a licensed repair shop, the coverage is responsible for any mechanical failure for any items listed under your coverage. With regards to your concerns for the ignition coils, the coverage pays the parts and labor for each coil that can be demonstrated to fall outside of manufacturer's tolerances and deemed a mechanical failure. Recommended repairs for precautionary reasons are not covered. Please give us a call once the claim is called in by your repair shop and we will be more than happy to review your claim and ensure it is handled properly in accordance with your coverage.
